It’s the end of another work week, woooo! πŸŽ‰

I look forward to every weekend, but this one feels a little more transformative than the rest. I’d love to spend some of this weekend resetting the house, staying in, and enjoying my home. If that’s been on your mind too, you’ll love this week’s self care idea.

Another thing on my to-do list for the next two days is to get back to filming videos! It’s been weeks since I did anything meaningful with this, and I finally identified why I was stuck… and what I can do to fix it.

In this week’s newsletter we’re talking about breaking down small barriers, finding joy, and the beauty of a sunday reset β€” and I hope you find something that brings happiness or comfort to your weekend. 😊

This week’s focus: give yourself the best possible chance at succeeding, whatever success looks like for you

I think almost all of us have something we’d love to be working on but just can’t make progress on it because there’s a barrier in the way.

Some of those roadblocks aren’t easy to get past. We can’t magic money, time, or resources out of nothing. But some things can be movable. Switching up a routine, committing to a new habit, or even just keeping the items you need nearby can make it easer to execute on your goals. ✨

If you’re not making progress, think about why it’s happening. What’s standing in your way? Can you remove that barrier? If you can, how?

In my case, I don’t feel β€œready” to just pick up the camera + film. I’m not afraid of speaking up, or being a beginner, or how I’ll be received β€” but my physical space and the way I look in the mornings is holding me back. πŸ€“

Once you’ve figured out your barrier(s), think about how you can break them.

For me, it looks like this:

  • Regularly tidying my desk so it’s how I like it (and there’s nothing in the way for filming)

  • Creating a simple morning routine, so I always feel ready to turn the camera on myself (this doesn’t mean dressing fancy + wearing makeup β€” more things like brushing my hair, doing skincare, wearing something comfy but film-able)

  • Keeping my camera + mic charged and within easy reach

  • Starting a running note on my phone where I can keep talking points and ideas

  • Sticking to a regular decluttering, tidying, and cleaning routine

If you’re happy to share, what are you trying to do and what’s keeping you stuck? Maybe we can figure out a way forward together (or I can cheer you on!) πŸ₯°

I’ll also keep you all updated on my filming in case it’s a journey you’re also on!
